History
Brago: A tradition of excellence
October 1988
Founding of the company Installations Électriques Yves D'Astous Inc.
June 2000
Addition of general construction services with the arrival of Yves D'Astous' sons, and transformation of the company into Entreprises Yves D'Astous.
2009
Integration of the next generation into the shareholder structure.
2011
Adoption of the name Brago and acquisition of the company's headquarters. Expansion of the corporate clientele and beginning of a growth phase. Completion of the first high-end boutique project and the beginning of partnerships with major brands such as Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile.
2012
First complete construction of a building with a steel structure.
2014
First major industrial project, marking the introduction of the cost-plus pricing method.
2016
Completion of the first two institutional projects with HEC Montréal and the City of Boucherville.Execution of the first LEED project, which received LEED certification upon completion.
2017
Increased number of large-scale projects, both private and public, in the industrial, institutional, and medical sectors, with clients including PolyExpert, Héma-Québec, the Régie des installations olympiques, and Therrien Couture Joli-Coeur Group.
2021
Completion of the first industrial project over $15 million for Barrette Structural.
2022
Initiation of the process to renovate the headquarters to better reflect the company’s ambitions and vision.
2024
Driven by a strong sense of continuity and a confident outlook on the future, our company is entering a significant new chapter in its history. Our founder, Yves D’Astous, is stepping back from the business with peace of mind, having built solid foundations that will continue to guide us. It is with great pride that Jean-François D’Astous and Philippe D’Astous officially take over as President and Vice President. Driven by the same passion and a forward-looking vision, they carry on the legacy while bringing renewed energy to our growth.
2025
The family is growing! Sarah Brisson, who has been part of the Brago team since 2007, is joining the ownership group as Chief Administrative and Financial Officer.
